西武伊東勤監督（４４）が怒りの声をあげた。４日に裏金問題究明で立ち上げた調査委員会が中間報告。新たな不正事実が判明した。伊東監督は５日のソフトバンク戦の試合前に太田秀和球団社長（５５）から事情説明を受けたが、「もうこれでいいかげん最後にしてほしい。社長がここまで分からなかったというのも（責任が）あるんじゃないか」と批判した。フロントへの不信感は大きく、首位ソフトバンクとの初対戦で２勝１敗と勝ち越したのが救いだった。
