２年ぶりの貯金はならなかった。横浜は、勝てば０５年７月２０日の阪神戦（甲子園）以来の貯金だったが、中日に力負けした。ミスが目立った。初回、仁志の２失策が絡み３失点。３回には、無死一塁でランエンドヒットのサインに３番鈴木尚がボール球を空振り三振。走者石井は二盗失敗の併殺。弘田ヘッド兼打撃コーチが「ミスした方が負けるよね」というとおり、後味の悪い試合となった。
