熊本工は室戸のエース森沢の乱調につけ込み、逆転に成功した。０－１の３回、１死一塁から４連続四死球に恵まれ、連続押し出しで２－１と逆転。さらに藤本の右適時打で３点をリードした。７回にも１点を追加。隈部－今村のリレーで逃げ切った。室戸は４点差を追う９回、３連打などで２点を返す粘りを見せたが、あと一歩届かなかった。
