日本ハム森本稀哲外野手（２６）がオープン戦９戦ぶり２度目の猛打賞をマークした。いずれも単打ながら俊足をいかしての内野安打もあり、内容は十分。ほか２打席も犠打とチームプレーに貢献し、６回には盗塁も決めた。ヒルマン監督は「完ぺきな出来。すべてに関して活躍してくれた」と大絶賛。森本も「試合の流れを持ってくる仕事ができた」と満足そうに振り返っていた。
