「ハマの仁志」をアピールするには最高の本拠地初打席になった。横浜仁志敏久内野手（３５）が移籍後、横浜スタジアムに初登場した第１打席に、先頭打者アーチをかっ飛ばした。吉井の４球目、シュートが内に入るのを見逃さなかった。仁志は「フェンスに届くと思ったけど、入るとは思わなかった。最初の打席に入る者が（他選手に）示すことは大事だと思う」と移籍第１号を振り返った。
