ソフトバンク神内がオープン戦２度目の登板で５回を無安打無失点、７三振を奪う好投をみせた。先発テストと位置付けられた前回１日の中日戦でも５回２安打無失点。これで１０イニング、無失点、１５奪三振の快投ぶりだ。神内は「内容的には前回の方が良かった。今日はカウント０－３とかあったし、行き当たりばったり。内容にこだわらないと」。先発ローテーション入りを手繰り寄せても、投球同様浮ついたところはなかったが、王監督は「安定していたし、攻めていた。手本になるようなピッチング」と手放しで褒めた。
