中日の育成枠・中村紀洋内野手（３３＝オリックス）が６番三塁で本塁打を放った前日に続いて先発。中越え二塁打、中前打と安打を連ねたが、７回の第３打席に左ひじに死球を受けそのまま交代、名古屋市内の病院で検査を受けた。チーム方針で詳細は明かされなかったが、打撲のもよう。中村紀は「骨に異状はなかった。腫れが引けばバッテイングは出来る」と話した。
