中日の育成選手・中村紀洋内野手（３３）が１軍デビュー戦でいきなりオープン戦１号を放ち、支配下選手登録に大きく前進した。７日、西武戦（ナゴヤドーム）に「６番一塁」でフル出場。７回の第３打席に、岡本から左翼最前列に飛び込む本塁打を放った。前日６日の実行委員会で育成選手のオープン戦出場が可能とルール変更され、即１軍合流。いきなり結果を残し、残り１席となった７０人枠入りが見えてきた。
