チャド・アレン外野手（３２＝ロイヤルズ）が日本ハム戦の６回の第３打席で押本から右ひじ上部に死球を受け、途中交代した。幸い軽症の模様で病院には行かず、アイシング治療で試合終了まで観戦。「もともと７日も試合に出る予定はなかったし、１日休めば十分。ノープロブレム」と強調した。８日横浜戦（京セラドーム大阪）からの復帰を目指す。
