This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Matsuzaka was solid all night, avoiding the walks and one-inning meltdowns that have plagued him all season. His final line for this game was 8 innings, giving up 2 earned runs on 6 hits, one walk, and 9 strikeouts. With this outing, Matsuzaka becomes the first pitcher since the Chicago Cubs' Kerry Wood to strike out more than 200 batters in a season as a rookie, and just the 5th American League pitcher overall to accomplish the feat.
Matsuzaka's final stats for his first MLB season were 15-12 with a 4.40 ERA, 204.2 innings, and 201 strikeouts.
