Where can one obtain statistics to Japanese baseball? Do any sites have data going back to the 70's, 80's?

The official stats of Pro Yakyu are kept at IBM BIS (Baseball Information Server). They've hypothetically got all stats since 1936 when NPB was founded. If it's business use you're looking for, they've more than likely got a plan for you. The video game makers are one of IBM BIS' major clients for data.
IBM BIS also puts out an encyclopedia of data every couple or few years. That's one on my lists to buy the next time it's released.
If you would like some minimal data, and can read Japanese, Lucky's Baseball Records Museum might be the place for you. He's got records starting from 1950 for most teams. However, the number of fields isn't too great.
If anyone else knows of historic data sites, in Japanese or English, I'd love to hear about it myself.

The baseballguru.com site has data back to 1992, and a few other league/seasons besides. The Yahoo jball mailing list files section has a few additional champion teams data.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
