No More For Nomo?

Discussion in the Ask the Commish forum
No More For Nomo?
I've read that the Dodgers won't be asking Nomo back for 2005. At one point last year, the Nippon Ham Fighters were interested in him. Anyone have any info on his future plans?

Maybe pitching for the Astros to reunite with Phil Garner, who had a good relationship with him back in Milwaukee and Detroit.

I guess this means he's pretty committed to finishing his career in the US, come what may. Does he live in the US full-time or does he come back to Japan in the off-season?

If Nomo can throw over the plate without his arm falling off, he'll make the club.

Nomo has been a mystery. Does he go through long periods of dead arm or does he have a degenerative injury like a frayed labrum or rotator cuff problem that he is concealing? Some years he is very good and others he is lousy.

Nomo's family lives in Tokyo all year round. In fact, his son attends St. Mary's International School in Setagaya.
