Terry Whitfield

Terry Whitfield
Terry Whitfield played for the Seibu Lions in 1981 through '83. His stats in '83 were: .278, 38 HR, 109 RBI. After the '83 season he left Japan and played in the States for 3 more years for LA. Did the Lions release him?

Did Terry retire after the 1986 season? That would be very young, for he was only 33. Can someone tell me what hapened?

Well, I've entered Whitfield's career data in Japan. Interestingly, his registered name was "Terry," not "Whitfield." But that's all the information I have on him.

What he did after 1983 is best asked on a MLB board.
