No, he didn't retire. The list of 2003 retirees is here.
I guess I need to put a notice on the 2004 team pages that 2004 rosters will not be fully entered until March. That's when official rosters are published, and while I've got a few signees entered, it's by no means complete. And it won't be until those roster lists are published in March.
I've looked in past years to see if anyone put up such information in English or Japanese before then. Didn't find any such information. I'll look again this year.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world.
