A great resource in English for (pretty much) daily news is Garland-san's Baseball Guru archives. He does a much better job than the English press in Japan like The Japan Times or The Daily Yomiuri (Allen-san excluded).
Box scores are tough. The only site that does something like box scores is Yahoo Japan, and even their box scores aren't quite normal. While I do have the skills to extract the data from Yahoo Japan and translate their pages, that wouldn't be exactly ethical, now, would it?
If you (or anybody) can afford the licensing fees from NPB-BIS to access their data, I'd put something up in no time. But the last I've heard, they don't offer any "economy" packages for non-profit, 100% volunteer web sites.
It's something I'd like to do, but don't have the time. Sorry.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
