Trying to identify a Dominican pitcher
According to http://beisbol.mforos.com/1090789/6603456-r-d-topa-con-taipei-con-vistas-a-panamericanos/ (scroll down to near the end), there was a pitcher on the 2007 Pan American Games roster for the Dominican Republic named Jose Gonzalez who was active in a Japanese league. This doesn't match anybody in NPB. Could he have been in the industrial leagues? Can anyone figure out who this hurler was?

I've found two potential references to a Jose Gonzalez in Japanese baseball.

The first reference is too young. This Jose Gonzalez is an exchange student from the Dominican to Sendai Ikuei High School [Link - in Japanese].

The second reference sounds very promising. This Jose Gonzalez comes out of the Carp Academy in the Dominican and last year played for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Yokohama [Link]. While there's not enough information to completely verify that this is the one, it seems the most likely.

Hope this helps.
