Tuffy's hitting this season

Tuffy's hitting this season
Have there been any articles or interviews with Tuffy Rhodes this season about his tremendous improvement at the plate over the past few years? His average is up, his strikeouts are WAY down and he never missed a beat after returning from his broken wrist. I was wondering if anyone had asked him about what he's doing differently this year. Shortened his swing? Being more patient? He still has the occasional 0-4 or 0-5 games, but this season typically every out was from a hit ball, not a K.

On the one hand, I think many thought he might retire at the end of this season, but how unsatisfying must it be for Tuffy to start the season in such incredible fashion only to have to miss two whole months! Two whole months and he's STILL tied for 4th in the Pacific League in HR!

I hope he returns for at least one more season (though it would be nice to see him on a contender) if he can come back next year with the same intensity he has shown this season.

I guess I shouldn't have said anything. Since my post, Rhodes has dropped like 30 points off his BA.

My bad, Tuffy!
