What is it about Rob Deer that has people mentioning him again? This is the second time in a week his name has come up.

From the article:
He adds to the list of MLB alumni who have jetted overseas to play for Hanshin. Mike Greenwell, Cecil Fielder and Rob Deer all spent time with the Hanshin Tigers.
For some reason the mention of two of those players seems to really degrade the mention of the third.
