Do people in Japan Watch or Know about the CPBL?
I live in Taiwan and Japanese baseball is quite famous here. I'm wondering if it is the same in Japan?

I don't know of any CPBL (or KBO) games being televised in Japan. But the daily sports papers do report the standings in in Taiwan and Korea once a week or so.

Shukan Baseball magazine has one page each dedicated to Taiwan and Korea every week. While they often mention how Japanese are doing in the two foreign countries, but mainly report on the native stars of each league. Other foreigners who are doing well also get mention.

When Lee hit #56 in Korea, that made the headlines here in Japan, but that came completely out of nowhere for anybody not really paying much attention to the small sections about Korea (and Taiwan).

So, information is being made available, but it isn't very prominent.

Okay, thanks.
