Stadium Capacities

Stadium Capacities
Before 2005, all games' attendances were estimated and almost always OVERestimated. So, to try to put and end to confusion, I looked at (through the official NPB site) to find the highest attendance at each stadium - which were usually All-Star Games and the Japan Series. The Japanese Wikipedia site also provided fire marshal ordinance attendances. So - here are my results:

STADIUM - HIGHEST ATTENDANCE I COULD FIND - (FIRE MARSHAL CAPACITY)

Chiba Marine Stadium - 28,354 - (30,200)
Hanshin Koshien Kyujo - 47,810 - (50,454)
Fukuoka Yahoo!Bb Dome - 36,246 - (35,157)
Osaka Dome - 33,837 - (36,477)
Meiji Jingu Kyujo - 35,876 - (37,933)
Tokyo Dome - 46,153 - (45,600)
Invoice Seibu Dome - 31,804 - (35,879)
Nagoya Dome - 38,011 - (38,414)
Skymark Stadium - 33,222 - (35,000)
Yokohama Stadium - 29,289 - (30,730)
Hiroshima Shimin Kyujo - 29,952 - (31,686)
Sapporo Dome - 41,823 - (42,585)
Fullcast Stadium Miyagi - 28,353 - (28,000)
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
