How do you pronounce "Lotte" in Chiba Lotte?

Think of a latte, only change the "a" to the "o" sound in otter, and hold the "t" sound a little bit longer.

I say it a number of times during my broadcasts. Any broadcast with "CLM" in the file name should do.
Basically, it's "low" "ten" without the "n" and with emphisis on the "t".

By the virtue of Lotte being a dual national corporation, I wonder if the pronunciation is the same in Korea. Though this being the Marines, it should be pronounced in the Japanese way, and the Lotte Giants should be pronounced in the Korean way, if they're different.

Lotte is a multi-national corporation, so I would think the pronunciation would be the same everywhere. Lotte has locations in Japan, Korea, the United States, China, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Russia, and the Phillipines.
As we know, Lotte is owned by Takeo Shigemitsu, or better known as Shin Kyuk-Ho. Lotte's headquarters are in Seoul, South Korea; Tokyo, Japan; and Beijing, China. A very useless fact is that Shin is worth $1.7 billion (USD), which was #387 on the Forbes list of the billionaires. [Lotte U.S.A.] [Wikipedia] [Forbes]

The pronunciation is the same in Korean and Japanese.

I belive the actual spelling of Lotte in Korean is "Lot de" (though they spell it "Lotte" in English) which automatically creates the pause that the Japanese use - if you want to think THAT way it would be "Lote Day" I suppose?

Well then, we get into the r's and l's.
Basically the L in Japanese is like the soft R in Spanish. Sometimes they roll it like the RR in Spanish. Ooff - too far into it.
