The Chiba Lotte Marines swept the Hanshin Tigers in four games for the Nippon Pro Baseball championship. Now all we need is for the Chicago White Sox to take game four from the Houston Astros to make this the "year of the sweep."

The Chicago White Sox swept the Houston Astros four games to none. The pale sox join the Chiba Lotte Marines and Samsung Lions in their sweeps of their respective Series championships!

This is truly the "year of the sweep" - the Sinon Bulls did it - they join the Chicago White Sox, Chiba Lotte Marines, and the Samsung Lions in their sweeps of their respective championships!
