Japanese League Tryouts

Discussion in the Open Talk forum
Japanese League Tryouts
Back in May 2005 someone advised me on this forum that the Japanese pro baseball league had tryouts in September.

Would someone let me know when these are held this September and where? And, how a preson can participate as a player looking for a team to sign with? Thank you very much!

Go to NPB's Official Site and there are all the teams' home pages. This year the teams offering tryouts are the: Tokyo Giants, Hiroshima Carp, Raukten Golden Eagles, and Nippon Ham Fighters. So, if you understand Japanese that's good. If not, please have someone who is Japanese view the pages with you.

I was contacted by the Fighters, so I will be flying to Hokkaido later next month. Also, some teams have height and age restrictions! But send your postcard anyway. They usually don't mind, but be prepared to show you are serios out there. And good luck!

If you see another gaijin it's probably me!
