Can Matsunaka Break the Home Run Record?
With 38 homers as of August 9th, it looks like last year's Triple Crown winner and Pacific League MVP, Nobuhiko Matsunaka, might break his own Manager Sadaharu Oh's single season mark, shared along with Tuffy Rhodes and Alex Cabrera. Can he do it? When will he be in MLB?

Let's see. 38 home run in 103 games is .369 per game. Now project to 136 games would make 50 home runs. Close.

You wouldn't know if his pace has been picking up the last couple of months, would you?

I don't see him leaving Japan anytime soon, but then again, some teams in the Majors lack a slugger of his caliber and may look to him as an answer.
