It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. Steady march leads Orix past Seibu
The Orix Buffaloes used a blast from the past and a boost from the present to break up a four-game skid.
First-year South Korean import Lee Dae Ho broke a tie with a two-run double in the seventh inning and Satoshi Komatsu (1-0) tossed 4.1 innings in relief for his first win since July 31, 2010 as Orix topped the host Seibu Lions 5-3 in the only game on Monday night.
Komatsu, who won 15 games in 2008 and has won only six since, allowed two hits and a walk with six Ks to keep the Lions at bay. Lee pretty much did the rest. The pudgy slugger had an RBI single in the first and went 3-for-5 with three RBI to move into second place in the Pacific League runs driven in with 41.
Aarom Baldiris homered -- his sixth of the season and first since May 20 -- a two-run shot in the third that got the fifth-place Buffaloes even at 3-3. Mitsutaka Goto, who has struggled most of the season, had his first four-hit game since Sept. 27 to help as the Buffaloes put together a season-high-tying 15-hit attack.
Second-year man Tetsuya Oishi (0-1) suffered his first pro loss, allowing two runs [one earned] on four hits and a hit batter in two innings. The fifth-place Lions relievers have the highest ERA in Japan at 5.92.
