Tigers v Swallows
The March 8th game saw a comfortable victory for Tigers, shutting out the Swallows 5-0. The Swallows seemed unprepared. Andoh pitched his first game of the season and was comfortable. He had good back up from Kanemura, Abe and Sajikihara who all nonetheless issued too many walks (6 in total). Offensively, Hirano and Sakurai both had good games as Tigers drove in 13 hits.
