2009 National Championships at Koshien Chat
Once again, I'd like to welcome you all to the Koshien Chat Box which will be open for discussions throughout the 2009 National Championships at Koshien starting on August 8. I'll be in and out, and I'm sure that our Koshien experts from tournaments past will also be there. Join in the fun.

Day 2 was rained out after 3 innings of the first game. So Day 2 is now underway on Monday Morning JST.

I think it was foolish of them to try and start this game when they new heavy rain was forecast. Now once again these kids will have to try and play again tomorrow. IT seems really unfair. Do you think they will start playing some games at night to try and make up for lost time?

Like play 5 or 6 games in a day? That's a good question. Unfortunately, I don't have a good history or historical knowledge of Koshien yet. I wonder if there's precedence.

Day 7 will see the following matchups:
Tokyo Nodai 2 (the Aggies) vs. Aomori Yamada
Tsuruga Kehi vs. Teikyo
Shonan vs. Kyushu Kokusai
Meiho vs. Saijo
I'm afraid that I'm going to be out all day, but we should have our usual Koshien experts in the Chat Room, so please feel free to join in.

The second day of quarter finals are getting underway at 11:00 am JST today (just under an hour from now). Hope to see you in the chat room as Teikyo takes on Ken Gifu Shogyo and Moyakonjo takes on Chukyo Dai.
