Changes to Saitama Baseball

Discussion in the High School forum
Changes to Saitama Baseball
If I am reading the report correctly, next year (90th Summer Koshien) Saitama Prefecture's high school teams will be split into two regions.

This year their prefectural tournament consists of 163 participants. Next year they will break into a more manageable North and South division, akin to the East and West Tokyo regions.

I guess this means that 50 teams (currently 49) will go to Koshien starting next summer?
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
