Wright Makes Jump To Japan

Discussion in the NPB News forum
Wright Makes Jump To Japan
Last season Christopher Wright was playing with the La New Bears of the Chinese Professional Baseball League. This season, he's with the Seibu Lions of the NPB. Best of luck to Chris. In 16 games in 2004, Wright went 6-4-1 with a 2.27 ERA.

Many players have jumped from the CPBL to Japan but have not been successful. I'm wondering how the Japanese leagues view the talent pool in Taiwan.

Is the 1 in "6-4-1" a tie or a save? Pitching a complete game tie has got to be a rare event these days.

Regarding Wright's record of 6-4-1, the one is for a save he got while in relief for one game.

Good Luck to Chris Wright in Japan.
