No Pressure

Yakult failed to win again! No, they didn't lose to the Tigers, but ended in a 4-4 tie after 12 innings. Anybody who thinks that playing for a tie in the Central League is advantagous needs to think again!
In the newspaper today, most of the Swallows were talking about how there's no pressure and that they aren't succuming to it. Yet, it sure looked like they were under pressure this evening (10/4) as they got chance after chance but couldn't bring anybody around.
Petagine started off the scoring by breaking Yakult's 18 innings without a run by hitting a 3-run blast in the bottom of the first. Hanshin managed to tie the game up and take a 4-3 lead for a short while. But the birds fought back and tied the game in the bottom of the 5th. And that's where is stayed to the end, about 10 minutes after 11:00.
So, it's time to move the three day old Victory Party to Yokohama for the weekend. Are we having fun yet?

However, after moving the victory party preparation from Hiroshima to Kansai after Monday's loss, the preparations had to be moved again to Tokyo after losing to the Tigers on Tuesday in a 12 inning sayonara heart break.
This evening (10/3), back in their home nest of Jingu, Yakult was blanked 4-0 by the same Tigers which they'd dominated all season (record dropping to 18 and 9). Not scoring since the 3rd inning on Tuesday, Yakult has now gone 18 straight innings without a run. Things just don't look too bright in birdland lately.
Yakult will try to finish things off against Hanshin again tomorrow at Jingu, after which they'll have to move their victory preparations to Yokohama for 3 games over the three day weekend. (The 8th is Fitness Day.)
Can Yakult pull out of their current duldrums and win one of their remaining 6 games? Or will they surprise everyone and bring back Nagashima and company for another round before the season end?
