This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

The pitching match up this evening will be between Ogasawara for the Dragons and high school rookie Yoshikawa for the Fighters. The lines on the two pitchers are:
Takashi Ogasawara (Lefty)
Ogasawara started 20 of the 21 games he pitched in, to a 6 and 6 record with 1 hold. He allowed 40 earned runs over 120.1 innings for a 2.99 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP.
Ogasawara did not throw against the Fighters during inter-league play. He was 2 and 1 over 5 starts against Pacific League teams.
Mitsuo Yoshikawa (Lefty)
Yoshikawa, in his first season of work, and right out of high school, threw in 19 games, 15 of which were starts, to a 4 and 3 record. He allowed 38 earned runs over 93.1 innings for a 3.66 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP before fracturing a wrist bone on September 15 on a come backer in a game against SoftBank. He was reactivated on October 2 and threw 3 innings in relief against Rakuten, allowing 3 earned runs over that time period.
Yoshikawa did not face the Dragons during inter-league play this season. He was 1 and 0 over 5 starts against Central League teams, though.
Now, is everyone set for Game 4?
