Giants To Sign P. Bryan Corey
The Yomiuri Giants are close to inking a contract with Triple-A pitcher Bryan Corey. The 30 year old right hander is 2-0 this season with a 3.38 ERA in 10 games (13.1 innings) with the Iowa Cubs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. He has walked five and struck out 13.

A veteran of four major league games (three with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 1998 and one with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2002), Corey is expected to fill the void that the Giants have at their closer position.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
