This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

He apparently has been contributing regularly as a columnist to several magazines, such as Wingspan and as a regular commentator for the NHK/BS program "Major League Weekly." He was born in Japan and moved to the United States permanently in 1984 to become a high-powered real-estate executive. He befriended Mets co-owner, Fred Wilpon, and tried unsuccessfully to buy the Montreal Expos.
Why is this real-estate exec brought in? Is this part of a deal to sell/redevelop their stadium to American investors?
