Sayonara Lou Pote?

Discussion in the NPB News forum
Sayonara Lou Pote?
On July 3, SanSpo reported that Lou Pote was heading back to the USA for treatment on his right shoulder, and that he might not come back.

After being sent to the farm in April, Pote came back to the 1st team on June 4. However, in his one appearance on the mound, he pitched 2/3 of an inning, gave up three hits and 1 run. Citing a sore right shoulder, he was demoted again on the 13th.

Since then, Hanshin have acquired another right-handed reliever, Jerrod Riggan, and although SanSpo quotes Hanshin boss-man Katsuyoshi Nozaki as stressing that Pote's return to the USA is temporary, the paper speculates that Pote may not be back.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
