Imaoka Out for a Month
Imaoka of the Tigers will be out of action for around a month while his injured wrist heals. Until then third base duties will alternate between Kataoka and Sekimoto depending on the pitcher.

No, it was surgery. He'd been complaining about his right writst hurting him for a while, now he's undergone surgery on his right バネ指 ("bane yubi" or "spring finger" - which ever one that is). The full story is available in Japanese at Nikkan Sports.
