Yomiuri Deactivates Rhodes

Discussion in the NPB News forum
Yomiuri Deactivates Rhodes
The Yomiuri Giants deactivated outfielder Tuffy Rhodes on August 10th. [Full Story - Daily Yomiuri]

I'm wondering if this deactivation has anything to do with Rhodes' attitude this year. Rhodes this year has been through plenty of conterversy, his comments about Yomiuri coach Sumio Hirota, his comments about his Yomiuri teammates, and his refusal to take part in a hero interview.

I'm starting to wonder if Rhodes' days in the NPB are truly numbered.

Tuffy is out for 2 weeks due to a shoulder injury.
