He's Back

He's Back
Kiyohara returned to the Giants' dugout tonight (7/7) after a very long rehabilitation at 2-gun.  And what does he do with two down and two on in the bottom of the 7th?  Hits a pinch hit 3-run home run, his 2nd of the season, 199th 399th [thanks Aladdinsane-san] of his career.

Guess who's going to be on the front page throughout Japan tomorrow morning.

Koyohara remains in 3rd place for All Star votes at first base as a write in.  I've got to admit, he made the most dramatic come back he could.

Typical of Kiyohara, he hit when the whole team is hitting.  His 3-run home run made the score 9-1 in favor of the Giants.

Take cover!  Typhoon #3 is about to hit!

Comeback?

I just hope Nagashima starts Kiyohara all three games next weekend against the Swallows. All this comeback stuff is likely to dispupt any rhythm this team may have acheived the last few weeks. As a Swallows fan, I'll take facing Kiyohara over Maru-chan any day!
