Pro Yakyu Dynasties

Discussion in the NPB News forum
Pro Yakyu Dynasties
Pro Yakyu guru Albright-san has written another interesting essay those of you interested in the history of the game. This one is entitled "Japanese Baseball Dynasties" and looks at teams that were able to win over a number of consecutive seasons.

From the looks of it, the Giants and Lions have had the most dynasties. The longest ones were the Giants' V9 years (1965-1973) followed by the Hankyu Braves (now Orix BlueWave) from 1971 to '79 (9 years, but not all as "Nippon Ichi" like the Giants).
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
