This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Cullen is the favourite to be the closer. He was released midway through the 2011 campaign in favour of Gomez but the Elephants have brought him back. Cullen had 12 saves with a 1.61 ERA in 25 appearances in his third CPBL season prior to his release. Gomez had some struggles and was 2-4 with 1 save and a 4.60 ERA in 9 games.
Gonzalez comes to Taiwan from the Yokohama BayStars in Japan. He did not pitch much and when he did he struggled.
27 year old right hander Carrillo was 5-12 with a 7.40 ERA in 23 games split between the Corpus Christi Hooks (AA Texas League) and the Lancaster Barnstormers (independent Atlantic League) last season.
