This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

The left-handed hitting Hsieh became just the sixth player to reach this milestone in Taiwan. He needed 454 games (7 seasons) to accomplish the feat and broke the previous record of 477 games by Luis Iglesias.
Nicknamed the "Taiwan Plumber" for his startling resemblance to a Chinese adult video star, Hsieh reached the record with controversy. He had 75 home runs in the now-defunct Taiwan Major League to go along with 25 in the Chinese Professional Baseball League. However, many baseball writers and players sided with him and his record stands.
