Chen Wen-bin

Discussion in the CPBL News forum
Chen Wen-bin
Outfielder Chen Wen-bin will be returning to play in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) in Taiwan for the China Trust Whales after failing to crack the starting lineup for the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks in Japan. He was 0-for-4 in his only at-bats for the ichi-gun (first team). Down at the farm, Chen hit .237 (40-for-156) with 3 HRs and 16 RBIs.

Before leaving for Japan, Chen spent seven seasons in the CPBL with the past two being with the Whales. His best season was the year before he was signed by the Hawks when he smacked 26 home runs with 61 RBIs in 85 games.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
