Ready for MLB?
I wanna know what players are ready to play Major League Baseball in North America, and who are the best pitchers, etc. avalible?

Do you want everybody who fits that description, including the guys who are now too old and too well paid to go, and those whose obligations to play in Japan will keep them there 4-5 more years? If so, the list could get fairly extensive. If you whittle it down to those who are decent prospects for MLB next year, there's probably no more than a half a dozen decent prospects. You've got to remember several things:
  1. moving to the majors involves a tremendous change in culture besides the change in level of competition,
  2. Japanese players are well paid, though not as well as many major leaguers, and
  3. Japanese players are obligated to spend 9 years in the NPB system unless their teams post them earlier.
It is this last factor which keeps young talent in Japan.

Diasuke Matsuzaka and Koji Uehara are first two names that come to my mind, and I don't even follow NPB that much.
