Ryan Franklin's Flirt with NPB
The March 17, 2003 Seattle Mariners MLB.com site [Link] has an article about Ryan Franklin and the Seattle Mariners' trip to Japan. Franklin says that he came close to signing with the Yokohama BayStars in 2000. But, the his patience and the patience of GM Pat Gillick and pitching coach Bryan Price paid off.
