This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Mike Piazza is homeless and the market in MLB for him is pretty dry. He's 37, is a part time catcher, better suited for DH. His defense is pretty bad, but he can still swing a bat. When he DH'ed and was rested, he did well at the plate.
So can he find a home in NPB? He says he enjoyed his exhibitions in Japan. He has plenty of money and his record, so I'm thinking he might try something different for the experience and the money. He speaks no Japanese, but he is a real pro, obedient to authority and has a love for the game. He would fit in well, but I'm not sure there is a place for him in NPB either. But he is the greatest hitting catcher of all time. Comments?
