Congratulations to Korea for their winning streak (5 in a row so far) and clinching an Olympic spot. Going into the Olympic Qualifier, it seemed like there was nothing but bad news coming out of Korea about their National Team.

Taiwan seemed to have a similar pessimistic attitude going into the tournament they were hosting. And it looks like they're on the verge of making it as well, along with Canada.

So, does this help legitimize Asia as a baseball powerhouse? NPB, KBO, and CPBL have all proven themselves in the lead up to a type of world championship. Having these three countries represented in the Olympics will make it a great deal more interesting to watch.
