Since its superb showing in last year's World Baseball Classic (WBC), things have gone downhill for Korean baseball struggling with sagging attendance and a dearth of talent in domestic games.

Bad times for Korea. Good times for Taiwan, with Hu and Weizhu Lin (Hanshin) emerging. I predict Taiwan will knock off Korea in the qualifiers.

Korea needs to get its act together before the '09 Classic.
