Lions Sweep Bears for KBO Championship
The Samsung Lions swept the Doosan Bears to become the 2005 Korean Baseball Organization champion. Samsung stomped Doosan 10-1 on Wednesday at Seoul's Chamsil Stadium in th best 4-of-7 Korean Series.

Winning pitcher Tim Harikkala gave up only three hits in five scoreless innings.

Rookie relief pitcher Oh Sang-min was proclaimed the Korean Series MVP. Oh kept the Bears scoreless and struckout 11 batters in three Series appearances of seven innings work.

Doosan pitcher Daniel Rios allowed four runs in the fianl game to pick up his second loss in the Series.

Former Haitai Tiger pitching great and Chunichi Dragons reliever Sun Dong-yeol led the Lions in his first year as manager.

The Samsung Lions will represent the KBO in the 2005 Konami Cup Asian Series to take on Japan, Taiwan, and China.
