ソフトバンク松田宣浩内野手（２４）が「開幕５番」確定弾を放った。７回に阪神金村暁からオープン戦１号ソロ本塁打を左翼スタンドに突き刺した。４回には先制の右前適時安打を放ち、通算５打点はチームトップ。王貞治監督（６７）は「今は一番、適任だと思っている」と開幕５番打者の筆頭候補に挙げた。小久保不在で巡ってきた開幕スタメンのチャンスだが、実力でクリーンアップの座をつかもうとしている。
