「おかわり君」こと西武中村剛也内野手（２４）が対外試合初戦で特大２ランを放ち、アピールした。４回１死二塁。巨人久保から高々と放った打球は、左翼席上段に飛び込んだ。ポールが揺れるほどの強い追い風にも後押しされ「カーブがうまくひっかかった。エラーしていたし」とホッとした表情。直前の守備での失策を、バットですぐに取り戻した。紅白戦から６戦３発と絶好調だ。
