オリックス・平野佳は無念の１０敗目となった。八回途中まで４安打１失点と好投したが打線の援護がなく、唯一の失点も北川のエラーが原因。２年目の右腕は「相手はエース級の投手。先に失点したらダメ」と力なくコメントした。痛恨の失策を犯した北川は２安打したが、得点には結び付かなかった。選手会長は試合後、何を聞かれても言葉少なで、厳しい表情のままバスに乗り込んだ。
